Description
Estate Art Deco J.E. Caldwell platinum diamond brooch. This High Deco handmade brooch circa late 1930's features one (1) old European cut diamond (1=0.75 ctw, G/H color, VS clarity) in a milgrain bezel at the center with two (2) old European cut diamonds (2=0.40 ctw, G/H color, VS clarity) in milgrain bezel on either end. These diamonds are surrounded by old European and single cut diamonds (72=2.00 ctw, G/H color, VS clarity) bead and bezel set with milgrain edges. This brooch measures 54mm across, 18mm long, and is finished with a removable stem and catch cage across the back as well as a hinged pendant bail. This brooch bears a mark attributed to J.E. Caldwell & Co and both the brooch itself and cage is marked "115879".
